Since 2016, the travel agency Abyssworld (Versoix) has been working on the project aiming at reducing its carbon footprint and offset what is not compressible.

The climate-neutral certification project concerns the management of the premises, electricity consumption, all air travel by staff, business travel and travel to and from work, teleworking, low-energy premises, IT server, green electricity, etc., accompanied in 2019 by an emissions balance with ecoLive, which will enable emissions to be reduced continuously and in a targeted manner. Emissions that are not reduced in the immediate future are compensated for through 2 climate protection programmes of reforestation in Nicaragua and an increase in biomass in the Swiss Jura.

Abyss world works with service providers who share the same commitment. They will then propose to their clients to compensate their flights with a reasonable budget. The idea is not to issue an injunction but to follow its line and offer interested clients to do the same.
